Not a lot is known about these bats. They are endemic to Australia, and considered to be a vulnerable species. A generalisation of pipistrelle bats tell us they are usually quite small bats, and feed mainly on insects. The decline in numbers of this particular species of bat is attributed to the loss of habitat by humans.
