The Greater Long-eared Bat
|
Not a lot is known about these bats, even though they were discovered in 1806. They are endemic to Australia, and considered a vulnerable species. They have been known to be found in South central Queensland, central western New South Whales, north-western Victoria and South Australia. The decline in numbers of this particular species of bat is attributed to the loss of habitat by humans. This bat is also known by the name Eastern Long-eared Bat.
